PULMONARY REHABILITATION PROGRAMME  

Programme Tutors: 

1.     Dr. Leong Oon Keong – Consultant Chest Physician

2.     Mdm. Tan Wai Choo - Physiotherapist

Venue:  17 Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Taman Ipoh Selatan, 31400 Ipoh, Perak

Day:  Saturday.  Course modules are repeated every two months.

Time:  2.30 pm – 3.30 pm (1 hour)

Fees: 

• Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme (2 modules) @ rm 150.
• Modules selected according to existing medical problems. 
• Additional module @ rm 90 each.
• Non-refundable. 
• Validity period for any module replacement is 6 months from date of enrolment.  Permission required.

Physical Therapy Module by Physiotherapist:

Home Exercises 

• Exercise prescription. 
• Types of exercises – flexibility, strength, endurance training.  
• Equipment needed. 
• Exercise limitation and when to stop.

Postural Drainage 

• Understanding Lung Segments.   
• Positioning.   
• Active cycle of life breathing

PEP and Vibratory PEP Therapy    

• Demonstration on how to use the devices.  
• Cleaning the devices.    
• Prescription:   When? How often?  How long?
